DiscJockey-AI is provider-agnostic. Spotify is kept as a connected-account demo path for consented personal metadata, official embeds, and Open in Spotify links.
Spotify is marked prototype-only. Do not use it as the public room playback foundation or as an AI training/import pipeline.
Connection status
Tokens are stored server-side. The browser keeps only an encrypted, HTTP-only account pointer. Spotify is optional and connected-account-only.

What the Spotify adapter can do
Read consented metadata
Read account metadata, taste signals, and private playlist metadata only for the connected authorized user.
Link outward
Show Spotify embeds and Open in Spotify links so listening stays inside Spotify.
Stay quarantined
Keep Spotify behind a provider adapter so other catalogs, importers, and playback paths can replace it.
Keep AI separate
Spotify audio, lyrics, cover art, and catalog payloads are not used for AI/ML training or unauthorized ingestion.
